We are a team of respectful friends: committed, experienced physicians, all board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.  We gravitated toward our partnership after recognizing a common philosophy toward patient care: our patients' well-being, physical and emotional, is foremost in our practice.

We hope that our patients will never feel like a number.  We enjoy patient care, and do not rush patient visits, as much for our own satisfaction as for yours.  We are fortunate to have a wonderful staff who are also committed to this philosophy.

We thoroughly enjoy seeing each individual achieve her dreams of adulthood, motherhood, and a healthier life with preventive care and education on current issues affecting women today
We consider our career an honor and a challenge in that every patient needs different education, options evolve in best practice medical and surgical care, which forces us to constantly improve, to stretch and continually learn through an ever changing specialty.
As a result, most of our new patients have come through referrals from their family and friends.  We welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and become your home for women's health care.

We hope you will consult one of us whether you are:

  • a teen with concerns about abnormal menses, or perhaps wanting to discuss contraception options, vaginal discharge, vulvar rash or pain or "bumps down there", dating strategy and how to use tampons. dr. malley sees pediatric and adolescents as well as adults, and will rarely need to examine a young woman until 21. when an exam is necessary, it is done gently, with 20 years of experience examining the youngest patients, and with special attention to educating the young woman and her mom.

  • on your way to college and you need advice choosing the right contraception, want to have a private conversation about risk reduction: unplanned pregnancy, STIs, date rape (1 in 4 college women are raped by someone they know!). or, perhaps you want to be proactive, and connect with someone you can call from far away (24/7) when you have personal questions or concerns.

  • anxious about visiting the gynecologist: from my own very first pap smear, i made a special point that i would make sure my patients are comfortable during every step of the exam, understand why and what we will be doing, and have the chance to say, "that's enough for today",  if not completely comfortable.  we take extra steps to increase the likelihood that your pap will be painfree and so easy, that many patients comment, 'did you do it yet?', when it's time to dress.

  • need more time with a pap: we care that our patients return to us, and feel safe and respected in our office.  some patients have a harder time than others with this exam, sometimes based on painful histories that they aren't ready to share. Knowing this, we go out of our way to make your gynecologic exam gentle and brief.  we'll spend lots of time talking, very little time examining, unless there is something you'd like us to see.

  • newly pregnant and looking for a small Obstetrics practice for very personalized care.  in our practice, just the two of us share our pregnant patients: drs. mcgroary and malley.  we will cherish this pregnancy with you, help you through the difficult times, and make sure you are treated with the kindness and respect that every woman deserves during one of the most powerful events in one's life.

  • struggling with menopausal changes. (at least 2 of us in the office are, too, and our empathy for hot flash triggers and sleep loss is at an all-time high!) we'll work with you to help you transition as gracefully as possible, despite the challenges many of us deal with: hot flashes, night sweats, memory lapses and insomnia.  we are very comfortable with the latest evidence in hormone replacement, and enjoy a shared responsibility for decison-making with our patients.  we will update you on all the options, risks and benefits, while you will ultimately decide what's right for you.

  • one who prefers shared decision-making: we encourage you to take your time with your choices from birth control to hormone replacement to testing for cancer prevention.  as new information becomes available, we will share the latest recommendations with you and the science behing them.  we will have many conversations over the course of time. as your physicians, we will share your struggle. we can help you come up with a tailored plan balancing the latest information on risks & benefits with your individual history and needs.

  • losing your sex drive. this is a quality-of-life issue that affects  > 40% of women over age 40 as a normal process of aging and the exhaustion that comes with multitasking.  obviously, there is no quick fix, but we will tailor a step-wise approach to address this concern with you.

  • suffering from a lack of libido: we have extensive experience in dealing with women who are frustrated by their lack of libido as the demands of life increase.  it is not a surprise that this is such a prevalent complaint in our society where women expect themselves to excel at so many things at once, such as being a wife, mother, employee or business owner, friend, elder caregiver, sister, community activist, etc...
